This sump was specifically made for a AquaC Skimmer and a 40g cabinet.
I used 1/4" acrylic. Holes were made with a 2" hole saw for the first and second chamber and a 1" hole saw for the last chamber. I adhered pieces together with Weld-On 3 and then sealed the joints with Plumbers Goop for extra leak protection. Once everything was dry, I routed the sides, ends and bottom with a 1/8" corner round bit with a mounted bearing, then I polished the corners with a polishing wheel and some polishing compound to give it that finished factory look. I didn't router the top because I plan on putting a top on the sump to keep salt creep down to a minimum in the cabinet area. Pieces were purchased from Laird Plastics in Rochester, NY. Materials and labor for project cost me $58. I already had the adhesives, so if your trying to figure a price for yourself add about $10. Add another $18 for the router bit and rent the router or borrow one if you dont already own . By the way, the no bubble flow in this sump is superb. I'm very happy with the results of my project !!!!!!!
